Hale on Wheels Cycling Event XII
Unfortunately, the Hale on Wheels Cycling Club has been put in a position to have to make the decision to cancel our Hale on Wheels Cycling Event XII scheduled for September 19th. However, the reason is not just because of the current COVID-19 situation we are all dealing with.
The reason for this decision is because of calls we started receiving demanding we provide a 100% written guarantee participants and volunteers will not contract COVID-19 while participating or volunteering in our event. Due to the fact that no one can provide such a guarantee and a possible attempt to set-up The Club and The Event for a lawsuit, in the best interest of all parties involved, we have decided to cancel our event for 2020.
For those that know me, this is the last thing I wanted to do because I wanted our event to be one of the few that actually hosted a live event. Still, we have worked too hard and too long to lose everything we have build over the past twelve years to be taken away by legal actions from people that want to do harm to our event.
For those of you that have already registered, you will receive a full refund within the next week.
My apologies to everyone who is upset by this decision and announcement.
